November 29 | ‘From Under The Bed’

On this Friday night (29th) at 8pm and again on Sunday afternoon, December 1st at 3.30pm, the Palace Players take to the stage with their pre-All Ireland run of their award-winning one-act play ‘From Under The Bed’ by Seamus O’Rourke.

Under the direction of Aisling McGrath, the group qualified for the All-Ireland finals in Rossmore, West Cork on December 6, 7 and 8, the draw for which will take place this Saturday to ascertain on which dates the six open and five confined groups will perform.

Along the festival route, Palace Players have won several awards for direction (Aisling McGrath) and acting (Liam Howard and Danny Buckley) with the back-up stage crew receiving well deserved plaudits.

The Friday and Sunday performances in Kilworth will be preceded by a mulled wine reception (or non alcoholic punch if preferred), sure to make the performance ahead all the more enjoyable.

The group will also perform at The Glen Theatre, Banteer on Thursday next (Dec 5) and would be grateful if readers had friends in that area, to please spread the word.

Tickets €10 available from The Avondhu offices in Fermoy (025-32227) and Mitchelstown (025-24451), from Cotter’s Bar, Kilworth (025-43615) or by calling 087-6492514.
