Pat Mulcahy comes to Kilworth on Friday, March 6 with his highly acclaimed tribute to Kris Kristofferson.
Accompanied on guitar/harmonica by Sean O’Connor, this show is the only one of its kind in Britain and Ireland. For fans of country music and the poetic storytelling of Kris Kristofferson, this is a ‘must see’ show.
All Kristofferson’s hits will be performed on the night, ‘Me and Bobby McGee’, ‘Why Me Lord’, ‘Sunday Morning Coming Down’ and ‘Help Me Make It Through the Night’ to name a few.
This show is a real labour of love for singer Pat Mulcahy. It is his hobby and it is his mission to share Kristofferson’s song writing with everyone.
“Every song has a story and there is a poetic nature to it,” he says.
The audience at this Kris Kristofferson Show will be treated to songs recorded and made famous by Pery Como and Frank Sinatra, songs that many don’t realise are Kristofferson songs.
Irish country star Gloria’s chart topping hit from the 1980s ’One Day At A Time’ is in Pat’s set as well – it is a co-write with the master musician who is 83 years old this year and who had a very successful run at The Marquee in Cork last summer.
