December 7 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm€12.50
Locally, the O’Reilly name is immediately linked with good music so, needless to say, patrons can expect plenty of the good stuff from Marc O’Reilly when he takes to the stage of the Village Arts Centre, Kilworth on Saturday, December 7 for what will be his first visit to the area.
Marc O’Reilly is renowned as an explosive live performer with stunning guitar playing, emotive husky vocals and gritty yet heart warming lyrics.
Marc, a native of Lismore, first came to attention back in 2011 following the release of his critically acclaimed debut record ‘My Friend Marx’, and he has since been famed for his electrifying live performances at many major European festivals including Glastonbury, Electric Picnic among others.
Marc’s most recent album, ‘L’tere Politique (LP)’ (meaning ‘political being’) is as it’s title suggests, a political commentary, dealing with the politics of human interactions, from one on one friendships to more broader global themes of capitalism, war and globalisation.
Marc O’Reilly has released 3 previous albums, ‘My Friend Marx’, ‘Human Herdings’ and ‘Morality Mortality’ and has enjoyed some recent international success with his track ‘Bleed’, streamed almost 2 million times on Spotify and featured on the soundtrack of the movie ‘Whatever Happens’. His track ‘Healer’ was also recently used in the US TV series ‘Salvation’.
