The music of singing group The Drifters lives on, and on Saturday, April 4, the group, headed up by Richie Sampson and voted the No 1 tribute act to the legendary Drifters, will fill the walls of The Village Arts Centre with classics such as ‘Saturday Night at the Movies’, ‘Under the Boardwalk’, ‘Save the Last Dance For Me’, ‘My Girl’ etc.
This fabulous vocal group relives the magic of that splendid era breathing new life into those fabulous songs.
The lineup includes the legendary Richie Sampson who was frontman for the fantastic British band, The Foundations. The vocal group is completed by Paul Anthony, Roy Bailey and Victor Alexander all renowned vocalists in their own right.
Special Guest and opening the show is Internationally recognised performer Desi Egan who has had hit records in Spain, Portugal and Germany and Frankie McDonald who played with the Joe Dolan band for 40 years, is part of the backing band.
